The Vaasan & Vaasan
Group has been reorganized as from May 1, 2007. As part of business development
objectives, a new business unit called Dry Baked Goods has been established.
In the beginning the operations of Dry Baked Goods consist of the exports of
crispbread and thin crisps. Last year the turnover of crispbread exports was
approximately 24 million euros. CEO of the Vaasan & Vaasan Group, Matti
Lappalainen, is in charge of the Dry Baked Goods operations. Seppo Ruikka is
the Chief Operating Officer in charge of crisp bread exports.
“The goal is to seek for new crispbread related product lines in order to
complement our product range. This is to be achieved by co-operating with
different companies. Also company acquisitions are possible. With these
activities we seek growth in international markets”, Matti Lappalainen says.
In future the operations of the Vaasan & Vaasan Group consist of the
following areas: Finnish operations,
Baltic operations, Dry Baked Goods operations and Bake Off operations.
As part of changes, Vesa Moisio has been appointed as a Director in charge of
the Finnish operations, as from May 1,2007. Director Ants Promann continues to
be in charge of the Baltic Operations and Director Bernt Lindberg of the Bake
Off operations. Magnus Johanson has been appointed as a Director in charge of
business development of the Group.
