VAASAN Oy uses GMO-free linseeds

VAASAN Oy uses in its bakery products only European linseed. Hence VAASAN Oy's products do not include any genetically modified, Canadian, linseed.

According to a notification to the EU's food alert system (RASFF) small amounts of genetically modified linseed FP967 from Canada is imported to many European countries. Genetically modified linseed is unapproved for food or feed use in the EU.

By following the requirements of VAASAN Oy's raw material policy, we ensure that we always know the nature of our raw materials and where they come from, and can, as a result, ensure the safety and legality of our products.
