Vaasan & Vaasan has started exporting its
FINN CRISP products to France. The first deliveries from the Kotka plant
were sent at the end of last year.
Negotiations with the French importer Distriborg began about a year ago. The
first export to France is the FINN CRISP Cracker Rye product, which, according
to consumer studies, is well suited to the French market. FINN CRISP products will
be sold in the Monoprix chain of more than 200 department stores nationwide.
“We’re going to try and expand our product selection, because France is a large
market area with excellent potential,” says Magnus Johanson, Director of
International Operations at Vaasan & Vaasan, as he discusses plans for the
future.
Products from the FINN CRISP family have been familiar around the world for
more than 50 years. Vaasan & Vaasan Group, the world’s largest producer of
thin crisps and second-largest producer of crisp breads, exports dry-baked
goods to more than 40 countries. The
major export markets are the Nordic countries, Germany, Russia, North America
and the United Kingdom.
The company is also looking to grow in new, developing market areas. During the past year, the FINN CRISP
product family has broken into markets in China, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand,
India, Bulgaria, Hungary, Croatia, Belarus and Kenya.
