Research has been conducted for several years on the health benefits of rye and wholegrain. It was launched in the Nordic countries, but has now expanded to the rest of Europe and North America. In Finland,
research on rye is more expansive and multi-faceted than anywhere else in the world.
VAASAN is one of the world's biggest bakers of rye products. We have been actively involved in research right from the beginning both through conducting and funding it.
At present, we are involved in several Finnish, Nordic and international
research projects related to the health benefits of grain.
We examine and develop high-quality products that interest consumers, and
promote the awareness of Finns on the health effects of wholegrain and grain
fibre.
